Sensor Field
Author: inane-imp, BlessedBe, RobertShepherd
Original mission by Inane Imp. With thanks to Headchime and RobertShepherd for advice and input and the players of IGL for being its first victims aka tournament playtesters.
Mission Objectives
Main Objectives
- At the end of a player turn, have only friendly Multi-scanners in a Quadrant in the opponent's half of the table.
- 1 Objective Point, can only be scored once for each zone in a game.
- At the end of each game round, have a Multi-Scanner in more Quadrants than your opponent.
- At the end of each game round, have a Multi-Scanner in the same number of Quadrants than your opponent.
- 1 Objective Point, but only if at least one Multi-Scanner is in a ZO.
Classified Objectives
- Each player has 2 Classified Objectives.
- 1 Objective Point for each classified.
Forces and Deployment
- SIDE A and SIDE B: Both players will deploy on opposite sides of the game table, in Deployment Zones whose size depends on the number of Army Points in the Army Lists.
Scenario Special Rules
QUADRANTS (ZO)
At the end of each Game Round, but not before, the table is divided into four Quadrants as seen on the map.
Note that there is an explicit dead zone outside of each player's deployment zone!
In this scenario each Quadrant is a Zone of Operations (ZO).
Multi-Scanners
Multi-Scanners are specialized Deployable Equipment designed to scan a zone with advanced sensors.
- Every Specialist is equipped with an unlimited number of Multi-Scanners and may deploy them onto the Game Table by using the Place Multi-Scanner Short Skill.
- Multi-Scanners are immediately destroyed when their STR is reduced to 0.
- Multi-Scanners can be removed from the game with the Deactivator skill.
- A Multi-Scanner is inside a Zone of Operations when it is in contact with the zone, or at least partially within the zone.
- If a multi-scanner is inside two ZOs then it is only counted as being inside one: the one it is most inside of.

Short Skill, Attack |
Requirements
- Only Specialist Troops may declare this skill.
- There are fewer than 8 friendly Multi-Scanners on the table already.
- Cannot be declared as part of a Coordinated Order
|
Effects
- By succeeding at a WIP roll, allows the user to place a Multi-Scanner token on the game table.
- The Trooper can deploy the Token in Silhouette contact or, if they moved, in Silhouette contact with any part of their route.
- The Token must be fully supported by the surface it is placed on and cannot be placed in a Scenery Item or Building other than an Objective Room (such as an Armoury).
- The Token is placed at the Conclusion of the Order in which the Trooper declared this Skill.
- A Multi-Scanner has no LOF and does not prevent Cautious Moves or a Trooper from re-entering a Marker state.
- A Multi-Scanner that has been deployed on the battlefield will remain in play until the end of the game or until it is destroyed.

SPECIALIST TROOPS
For the purposes of this scenario, only Hackers, Doctors, Engineers, Forward Observers, Paramedics, and Troopers possessing the Chain of Command or the Specialist Operative Special Skill are considered Specialist Troops.
Hackers, Doctors, and Engineers cannot make use of Repeaters or Peripheral (Servant) Models to perform tasks reserved for Specialist Troops.
Chain of Command or Engineer Bonus
Troopers possessing the Chain of Command Special or Engineer Skills have a MOD of +3 to the WIP Rolls necessary to Place Multi-Scanner. In addition, they will be able to make two WIP Rolls each time they spend a Short Skill to Place Multi-Scanner.
End of the Mission
This scenario has a limited time frame, so it will automatically finish at the end of the third Game Round.
If one of the players starts their Active Turn in a Retreat! situation, the game will end at the end of that Turn.
